Pa’lais Cuisine Shiitake Sauce

Step 1
Heat a dash of olive oil in a wide sauté pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Sauté the onion until translucent, then add the mushrooms. Fry until golden brown, add the garlic and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Add the paprika powder and cayenne and sauté for two minutes.
Step 4
Deglaze with soy sauce and stir in a spoonful of mustard.
Step 5
Add the chopped flat leaf parsley. Lower the heat.
Step 6
Pour in the Pa’lais Cuisine – Shiitake Sauce, dilute with 50ml hot water and simmer for five minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Tip 1
Use king oyster mushrooms for an extra hearty bite, or mixed mushrooms for variety.
Tip 2
Do you like a more tomato flavored sauce? Then add a spoonful of tomato paste along with the spices.
Tip 3
Can it be really Russian? Then deglaze the vegetables not only with soy sauce but also with a dash of vodka!
Pa’lais Cuisine Shiitake Sauce
Ingredients
1 onion, diced
400 gr oyster mushrooms, in strips of 3-4 cm
2 cloves of garlic, pressed
1/4th tsp smoked paprikapowder
Pinch of cayenne
1 tbsp (gluten free) soy sauce
1 tbsp mustard
Handful of flat leaf parsley, chopped + extra for finishing
1 cup Pa’lais Cuisine – Shiitake Sauce
50 ml hot water, or more if needed
Olive oil, pepper and salt
Serve with rice
